'It's a destination the whole town can be proud of'

BURTON Washlands has been given a major upgrade to transform it into a “vibrant destination’.

The project - to connect the town centre to the riverbank - offering safe, accessible spaces for play, relaxation, and exploration, is part of Burton's ongoing regeneration.

Visitors can now enjoy a timber play area designed around natural play principles, new boardwalks, clearly marked trails, and improved access throughout the riverside.

The Garden of Remembrance has also been redesigned with fresh landscaping, seating and pathways, providing a calm spot to pause, stroll, or take in scenic riverside views.
