Council probe into extention 'that's really a demolition'

CONCERNS raised by neighbours and a local councillor over a Castle Bromwich extension have led to an investigation by Solihull Council officers.

The saga began in September last year when Solihull planners gave the go-ahead for a first floor side extension and a two-storey rear extension at 24 Farnworth Grove.

Then in July applicant Mohammed Bilal had a bid to increase the height of the rear extension refusedby the council. However, this decision was overturned on appeal by the government's planning inspectorate in October.
