City-CY collab is making Bellville better by the day

The better.bellville.together programme, run by Bellvillites and supported by the City, is having a lasting impact in the region, stimulating inclusive economic growth in this key urban node.

Administered by the Greater Tygerberg Partnership (GTP), better.bellville.together has been running for two years with a focus on placemaking, improving waste management, and supporting projects for small businesses and informal traders.

Putting some charm back in the old ‘Belle’ To make public areas in Bellville safer and visually more appealing, the programme gets businesses to work together to install better lighting, make wayfinding more accessible, and revitalise infrastructure. This has resulted in public spaces that residents are more eager to experience.
