Shifting Silhouettes
Tatler Singapore
|September 2025
For Dior's autumn-winter 2025-2026 collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri fuses heritage with transformation, drawing on past icons to craft a wardrobe that speaks to contemporary desires and infinite possibilities

In Maria Grazia Chiuri's hands, fashion has always been an act of transformation—never static, always in dialogue with history. For her final Dior show, presenting the autumn-winter 2025-2026 ready-to-wear collection, the creative director of women's collections revisits the maison's memories, gestures and codes. The result is a pluralistic conversation that bridges the heritage of haute couture with the shifting realities of contemporary life.
For Chiuri, clothing is a living archive—a vessel of cultural, aesthetic and social meaning. Her collections are never confined to the rhythm of seasons, but conceived as constructions—projects, even—imbued with quiet intent. The white shirt, for instance, is reimagined as a foundational piece of a wardrobe freed from gendered constraint. In this spirit, Chiuri enters into a sartorial dialogue with the architectural lines once defined by Gianfranco Ferré, the former Dior artistic director whose precision and structure remain a guiding touchstone.
