Case in point: the creative industry. While it’s not the only sector that suffered great losses, a creative renaissance (of a sort) seems to be emerging in this post-pandemic world, especially with the advent of cryptocurrency, NFTs and the metaverse.
For multidisciplinary artist Ernest Zacharevic—whose works can be found along wall murals throughout Penang and the Klang Valley—despite the tumultuous rise and fall of the crypto industry and the ensuing dip in the NFT market, he maintains that economic valuation [of crypto and NFTs] aside, the platforms that operate them will always remain, albeit looking a little differently compared to the market’s peak in the early quarter of 2022.
