Paris Haute Couture Week has P evolved into an avenue for Chopard to present the most precious stones for many years now. Chopard Co-President and Artistic Director Caroline Scheufele honed her passion for exceptional gems over time, eager to share her discoveries. Armed with a keen eye and natural instinct, she has ventured around the globe in search of the most desirable raw stones to fuel and inspire her creativity.
In 2017, Chopard unveiled the Garden of Kalahari, descended from a rare 324-carat rough diamond. Of the 23 gems featured, five exceeded 20 carats as D-Flawless grade diamonds, a testament to the maison's benchmark for excellence. Today, Chopard holds possession of another exceptionally pure rough stone, the staggering 6,225-carat Chopard Insofu Emerald. The verdant stone remains in the masterful hands of in-house artisans, being carefully readied to sparkle within a future collection yet to be revealed.
Other newly unveiled stones include a pair of vivid Ceylon Sapphires. Originating from Sri Lanka, otherwise regarded as the "Gem Island", the two stones are finely oval-cut and weigh 151.19 and 127.70 carats, respectively. Besides the impressive sizes, the stones boast excellent clarity, evenly matched colour and the well-balanced structure expected of the highest calibre Ceylon Sapphires. Gleaming as bright as stars, the stones are set to appear in a mystical ring with a matching cuff bracelet.
