Where are you from and what brought you to Singapore?
I'm from Ukraine and lived there while working as a successful brand manager. However, I reached a point where I felt completely burned out. And so, I decided to make a drastic change in my life. This led me to Singapore, where I unexpectedly chose to pursue an international beauty certification course from CIDESCO (Comité International d'Esthétique et de Cosmétologie).
Tell us a bit about your background and foray into the beauty industry.
It started about 10 years ago when I embarked on a journey to discover my passion for this field. I initially started as a beautician and lash maker, but later decided to delve into the art of permanent makeup. This exploration of various beauty fields ultimately led me to establish myself as a permanent makeup artist under the name Elena Beaute.
As an entrepreneur and permanent makeup artist in Singapore, what does a typical work day look like for you?
A typical work day for me begins at 6am with a gym session and meditation. This helps ensure I am centred and energised for the day ahead. By 10am, I’m fully prepared to start attending to my clients, and my schedule remains occupied until 6pm.
