After spending 24 years in a “mad marriage” to Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, Jo Wood would be forgiven for turning and running at the mere mention of the word wedding.
The glam power couple of the 80s and 90s enjoyed what she tells us was a union full of partying, before it all came to an explosive end in 2009 when he cheated on her with a 19-year-old cocktail waitress.
Despite admitting she’s amazed that she “survived” their time as Mr and Mrs Wood, Jo reveals to OK! in an exclusive chat that she’s ready to go down the aisle again.
“I’d love to get married again because I’d want a marriage that is settled and not like…” she says, trailing off. “I mean, I loved my marriage to Ronnie.”
Jo’s marriage to The Rolling Stones guitarist, 76, was actually her second, following an elopement to Las Vegas at 18 with Peter Greene, the biological father of her eldest son Jamie, who Ronnie later adopted.
“My first marriage, I was too young,” she says. “I was 18 when I married him and I left him when I was 21. Then I met Ronnie – we had a mad marriage. We partied and drank and it was a mad time, a really mad time when I look back on it. It’s amazing I survived, really.
“But I’d like to get married again to someone with a really loving softness about them, and have connection and togetherness. I’d love that.”
Heads were turned last year when she arrived at the Gelida Summer Summit with British chef Jameson Stocks, who is reportedly 25 years her junior.
Their appearance together at the beauty event came after they were first spotted together in spring at the Prestige And Village County Challenge Polo Event, which is held in Essex.
