Paris – a glitzy metropolis of the world, spread over the banks of the Siene River in Northern France – is a Picturesque dream destination. Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau was established in 1971 by the initiative of the City of Paris and Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a non- profit association. Its main function is to promote the capital as a leading leisure and MICE segment.

According to the latest ranking by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Paris is the leading spot for meeting, leaving behind Vienna by a margin of 40 meetings. In 2018, a total of 212 international meetings were held in Paris, which consistently occupied one of the top two spots in ICCA's rankings since 2010.
