Meanwhile, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has also said that “No major side effects of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) have been found in studies in India and its use should be continued in preventive treatment for Covid-19 under strict supervision.” Interestingly, of the 44 covid related deaths in Karnataka, the State’s health bulletin reports 10 cardiac arrest-related deaths in covid positive patients.
