AFTER having announced a waiver on interest-on-interest charged by banks during the moratorium period, the government has now clarified that this waiver will not be applicable for loans taken towards agriculture and allied activities.
According to the finance ministry’s clarification, issued on Thursday, crop and tractor loans come under agriculture and allied activities loans and are not part of the eight segments or classes eligible under the scheme.
