A THUG repeatedly punched a man in a pub after a friend had struck him with a poker, a court heard.
Drunken father-of-two Keiran Treble, aged 24, rained blows on the stranger on the ground. He also tried to kick him on the floor of the Queen's Dock in Morice Town, Plymouth Crown Court heard.
Groundworker Treble avoided jail after prosecutors accepted he had not taken part in the attack with the poker. His friend Morgan Patterson, aged 23, is to face a jury charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent early next month.
