BOXING legend Manny Pacquiao punched his way out of poverty to become an all-time great.
Now the end is finally here, his name can be etched in the history books.
Pacquiao, 42, announced yesterday that he was retiring from the sport after a career that spanned over 26 years.
There were world titles in a remarkable eight weight divisions as he rose from flyweight to light-middleweight. It is highly unlikely that feat will be repeated.
From an extremely poor upbringing in the Philippines, he became a multi-millionaire athlete and will now run for president.
“I just heard the final bell. Boxing is over,” said an emotional Pacquiao. “I never thought this day would come as I hang up my boxing gloves.
“Thank you for changing my life, when my family was desperate you gave us hope, you gave me the chance to fight my way out of poverty.
