Mahmood knows there will be faster men meeting up when England gather for a pre-summer training camp next month.
And he concedes, too, most will have more than his one ODI cap and scalp plus three T20 wickets.
But Mahmood, 23, believes his ability to get the ball reversing could just help him force his way into the picture in all formats.
