Rory Burns hailed Dan Lawrence’s flare amid the noise of a raucous crowd as England took the attack to the Kiwis.

After a testing week, England managed to keep their focus firmly on the cricket, while their fans sang themselves hoarse on a day that felt reassuringly familiar at Edgbaston.
