Tartan Army Ticket Ballot Fair And ‘Random' - Uefa

European football’s governing body maintained there was a fair ballot for Scotland tickets after fans claimed a stitch-up.

Many supporters contacted the Record to claim their cheap tickets were cancelled while the most expensive ones were unaffected by the heavily-reduced attendance limit.

A statement yesterday claimed the appearance of a bias towards Category 1 tickets – priced at £162 – being retained was caused by the fact there were far fewer of them than £43 Category 3 tickets.
