A Lodger told police that a churchgoer he is accused of murdering died in a fall after getting drunk while watching the film Titanic, a court heard yesterday.
Jadwiga Szczygielska, 77, died from blunt force chest injuries in her Edinburgh flat on April 17 last year.
Roman Frankiewicz, who denies her murder, rented the flat’s only bedroom at £200 a month for two years while she slept on a sofa in the living room.
