THE King has thanked the nation for the kindness and support during the Coronation celebrations.

He described it as the "greatest possible Coronation gift".

As the festivities drew to a close, he issued a written message, saying: "We thank you, each and every one."

Official photos to mark the crowning of Charles III and Queen Camilla have also been released to round off the long weekend of festivities.
