The Queen was all smiles as she returned to her official engagements yesterday – despite having to pull out of the COP26 climate change conference.
Instead she will address delegates in Glasgow in a video message from Windsor Castle that will be recorded later this week.
In a yellow dress and pearl necklace, the 95-year-old monarch took part in her first recorded duties in seven days since doctors ordered her to rest, following a night in hospital after tests.
In keeping with tradition, she gave an audience to Chancellor Rishi Sunak last night ahead of today’s Budget.
