A GRANDMOTHER feels glad to be alive – after suffering two very unlucky breaks.
Lindy Moors slipped and broke her back the day she was due out of hospital after originally being admitted with a broken neck.
She said: “I never expected I’d make it home alive and I was sure I’d never be able to hug my family again.”
Lindy, 64, was first taken in when a barn door fell on her head in January. She twice had major surgery to prevent her from being paralysed but then fainted on her way to the toilet.
X-rays showed the fall had fractured her back – and surgeons performed her third big operation in a week. The grandmother of five is walking and hopes to make a complete recovery.
