The Oscar-winner will play comedy legend Lucille Ball in the much-hyped biopic Being the Ricardos, yet fans and Hollywood industry players alike are clamouring against her casting. In fact, they believe the role should have gone to another flame-haired actress.

“This has disaster written all over it for Nicole,” says a source. “There’s been huge backlash in Hollywood against her casting, with most industry insiders supporting the notion that the role belonged to Debra Messing.”
