Dear Santa, BRING ME A MAN

If you are single, divorced or have recently broken up with a partner, the Christmas season can be a miserable time. Friends you normally hang out with are busy with their families and everywhere you look, there are happy couples making merry. If you travel upcountry for the holidays, your relatives are waiting to grill you on why you did not tag along a special someone, and what exactly it is you are waiting for before you get married or remarry. If you decide to go on vacation, it is not better. You will discover that most tour packages are priced based on a minimum of two travellers. So a solo holiday maker, has to pay much more. It all ends up feeling like the whole universe is conspiring to remind you, that you are alone.

You can choose to stay home watching movies, a television series, or reading. There is nothing wrong with that. Perhaps you are of the opinion that you do not need a man. That too is fine. But if you are feeling lonely, staying put implies the only men you will meet are the caretaker or watchmen at the estate’s gate.

So get yourself out there, get noticed and be part of the Christmas cheer with these handy tips.
