Suprima Tuladhar, The Winner Of The See Queen Pokhara 2018

“In a society one like ours, where women have always been dominated and confined within four walls since the time immemorial. In real sense, girls are never independent. Whether they are married or not but the fact is that they have to live under constant dominance. As a result, they are not allowed to act their freewill freely. This has been a social practice in our society for centuries”, opined Suprima Tuladhar, the winner of Miss SEE QUEEN POKHARA 2018.

Suprima Tuladhar is only 15-year old teenager, but she stands out distinct from other girls of her age. When asked about the girls of today she said, “Now things are changing for the good. Parents have become more aware and they have started showing equal faith in their daughters. They have stopped discriminating between sons and daughters and this is really very good. The girls of 21st century are more confident and look forward to make a career of their choices”.

Speaking with this scribe, Prativa Ratna Tuladhar, the mother of Suprima, said: “I have pinned much hope on my daughter;and I am always ready to do anything for the well being of my daughter. My daughter is my pride. Though her father works abroad, I have never let her feel the lack of her dad. I have aptly played the role of her dad as well”.

A clever child always shows early promises and this aptly applies to Suprima. Suprima was in standard one when she had participated in ‘Syano Pari ra Syano Babu Talents Show’ (Little Angel and Little Champ Talents Show). She reached the last round of the contest but she could not win the crown. Suprima had to satisfy with the title of ‘Best Smile’.

The Rise of Jogi Bhat

Let me ask a serious question about Nepalese food. Most of us have grown up in households where left over rice has either been used to be served with hot milk or Bhuteko bhat with onions and local butter with a touch of turmeric.
