Business Today talks Nutrition 101 with Saw Bee Suan, Assistant Manager, Dietetics and Nutrition Services, Sunway Medical Centre.
Business Today: As Malaysians, we tend to either skip breakfast or grab a quick Nasi Lemak from the nearest stall. Is Nasi Lemak a good breakfast meal?
Saw Bee Suan: Nasi Lemak can be a good breakfast option as it has a balance combination of carbohydrate, protein and vegetables. The key is to keep your Nasi Lemak meal as simple as possible. Try not to add on sambal, fried chicken or sotong, and just have the Nasi Lemak Biasa. You can also consider other alternatives in the morning such as toast bread and eggs, steamed pau, tosai, chapatti or soup noodles.
