हिन्दुस्तान अंग्रेजों से अपनी आजादी की 71वीं सालगिरह मनाने जा रहा है। सात दशक पहले 15 अगस्त 1947 को मां भारती की बेडिय़ां टूट गई थीं। लेकिन क्या मां भारती की बेटियां आजाद हो पायीं? क्या साल 1947 के इंकलाबी समाज से लेकर 2018 के प्रगतिशील समाज तक मां भारती की बेटियों का कोख से कब्र तक का सफर बगैर भेदभाव के पूरा हो पाता है? क्या उन्हें सपने देखने और उन्हें पूरा करने का हक मिल सका है? दहेज प्रथा, कन्या भ्रूण हत्या, बाल विवाह, लिंग विभेद जैसी तमाम बुराइयों के दागों को अपने आंसुओं से धोने वाली औरत का आंचल क्या परचम की शक्ल ले पाया है? क्या पिछली कई सदियों की तरह यह इकहत्तर साल भी सिर्फ मर्दवादी समाज की बनाई गई दकियानूसी रस्मो-रिवाज, कबीलाई रवायतों और बन्दिशों और अहंकार की बलिवेदी पर कुर्बान हो गए या इन बेरंग-बेनूर हालातों की चारदीवारों पर उम्मीदों की सफेदी भी चमकी है।
