Energy efficiency in buildings is increasingly becoming an essential
solution towards conservation of energy across the globe. In India too,
it is and should be poised as the most important feature of the building
sector. Energy use is abundant in the country with heating and cooling
constituting 34% and lighting at 29%, of the total energy consumption.
Energy efficient green buildings gaining momentum in the country,thus
has been our focus this month, in the second issue of GREEN
CONSTRUCTION+DESIGN.

Even though a vast majority of products and services are available in this space, but still people at large are unaware of them. Spreading awareness and Education, thus is the objective of GC+D magazine.
