It Happened this Month gives us an account of the American Civil War which in many ways has defined the history of the United States. Our Saint of the Month is Catherine of Siena, one of only four female Doctors of the Church. It is 109 years since the sinking of the Titanic, an event which still continues to capture our imaginations. John Gallagher writes about a hero of that tragic time, Captain Arthur H. Rostron.
