THE EXPERIENCE OF THE VALUE OF EXPERIENCE
Our experience defines us. As one of my favourite novelists, the Cantabrian José María de Pereda, says: it doesn’t consist so much of what you have seen, but rather of what you have reflected upon. A timely management of what we have learnt helps us to work in a more efficient way, and to choose excellence. It is learnt by deciphering living, by extracting all the juice, all the essence. This is significative learning and it is more inductive than deductive, basing itself on constructivist principles. We are what we have been and we will be what we are.

Nuestra experiencia nos define. Como decía uno de mis novelistas favoritos, el cántabro José María de Pereda: no tanto consiste en lo que se ha visto, sino más bien en aquello sobre lo que se ha reflexionado. Una correcta gestión de lo aprendido nos ayuda a obrar de modo eficiente y a optar por la excelencia. Se aprende descifrando, extrayendo de lo vivido todo su jugo, toda su esencia. Éste es el aprendizaje significativo, y es más inductivo que deductivo. Se yergue sobre principios constructivistas. Somos lo que hemos sido y seremos lo que somos.
