With a large choice of properties with land and many protected natural areas, France has always attracted people looking for the ‘good life’ where they can spend more time outdoors and feel closer to nature. Thankfully, there are plenty of properties to choose from and British househunters are often surprised to see how much property, including private land, they can get for their money. Some properties, however, are more special than others.

While these days it can be hard to come across a patch of untouched land where construction and farming are kept at bay by a thriving, preserved natural area, this property has, quite literally, fields of unspoilt land. Perched up on the hills near the little Provençal village of Murs, in Vaucluse, this vast estate is now on the market, after being in the same family for about 20 years.
