“I want to be able to ease the mundane with the music I make.” This, here, is no ordinary girl with a guitar. Powerfully husky vocals and a hypnotising personality make Alisha Pais a force to be reckoned with. On stage, her passion reverberates with as much power as her lyrics, and she allows her music to speak for her. “When I’m performing, it’s like meditation. I’m wholly connected to the songs I’m singing; they’re a part of me and I’m inside them,” the folk-rock artist explains. “Being able to connect with a person and give him a sense of security in knowing that there is much more than what meets the eye, that there are frequencies of feeling too — that’s what I enjoy the most.”
