But that&rsquo;s just not who I am. Today most of the industry, even Fox News, is moving away from that a little. It&rsquo;s partially the moment we&rsquo;re in: There&rsquo;s a shift toward a real, more natural-looking beauty. But I also think people are taking the news more seriously.I&rsquo;m a big believer in being the same person on and off TV. So these days I get to work and spend a couple of hours reading the paper and making phone calls, and wait until the last minute to go into the makeup room. First they blow out my hair. Then I sit in the makeup chair for about 20 minutes&mdash;if I&rsquo;m lucky, less. They&rsquo;ll put on a mattifying primer because I get shiny, foundation to even my skin tone, then a little eyeshadow, liner, and mascara. My eyebrows are a bit messy, so those get filled in. (I don&rsquo;t get them waxed anymore. I have the time; I just haven&rsquo;t felt like it.) I&rsquo;ll put on some blush&mdash;no contour&mdash;and some lip gloss. The makeup artists probably want to strangle me because I&rsquo;m like, &ldquo;Less, less, less!&rdquo; (I&rsquo;ve had a few days when I&rsquo;m like, &ldquo;Oh God, we put too much on,&rdquo; and I&rsquo;ll wipe it off during a commercial break or when somebody else is onscreen.)
