The right parenting.
To shape-up a progressive and optimistic personality that shines in the world, children need to be taught correct behaviour. And who can do this job better than parents? To prevent challenging behaviours, disciplining comes to the rescue. This is how parents teach their children the ‘how’ of good conduct. But the word “discipline” has been associated with a stricter connotation for the past many years. Yet, it is not necessary to see this word in a negative light. There can definitely be a positive side to it. Disciplining teaches children self-control. It gives them a sense of responsibility, it helps instill values in them, and it protects them from unforeseen dangers. All these are positives attributes of discipline.
But that’s not all; there is much more to it. As a parent, your bond with your child is special. To strengthen this bond, you need to focus on the positive side of disciplining so that your parenting has a lifelong constructive effect. Giving respect, being consistent, and having a fair approach are the mantras to right parenting. Let us read more on this…
Respect individuality
Every child is an individual. And who can understand a child better than the parents. Not every child can be disciplined by shouting. Similarly, not every child wants candies as a well-done gesture. Parents must focus on how to deal with each child, understanding his or her individuality and respecting it.
Consistency is the key
