When cupid strikes.

Add Zing To Life With Office Romance

Your heart is racing, and your adrenaline is pumping on a Monday morning. You can't wait to get to work. Love is in the next cubicle, love is in the office!

In the modern-day corporate culture, affairs, romance or sex are as common due to working late with your male or female colleague. They are engrossed in their work, mind turned completely to the job at hand. At the same time they are locked in what is known as an office romance. Office romances are not new in our 24x7 work culture. From spending longer hours in office, sharing common experiences with coworkers, exploring challenging situations together to socialising and networking with them, it is not uncommon for cupid to strike in office.

Sociologists feel that as a modern corporate executive, people are committed workers who give 110 per cent to the company. At the same time they also want to assert their independence by choosing their life companion. But usually spending long hours in the office they don’t get the time to go out for a date or seek the partner of their choice. In these circumstances, the most likely place where they end up meeting prospective partners is the office itself. As they work together, they already have something in common and possibly a shared group of friends. Being in the same company, possibly doing the same kind of work shows that the couple shares some interests to begin with.

Boosts our self-esteem

Proximity is the key factor for igniting the spark. The more you’re around someone, the more you tend to like them. This can evolve into deeper feelings. Familiarity leads to trust. Being near someone can be powerful on a sexual level, as well.
