Underscoring the need for avoiding fake news, State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam on Tuesday called on the politicians and journalists to play a leading role in the country’s development.
He made the call while addressing as the chief guest a function arranged by Rajshahi Divisional Journalists’ Association at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy marking its first founding anniversary.
He said if the politicians and journalists uphold their professionalism, the country can attain its development goals and make Bangladesh a prosperous and progressive nation. The chief guest also urged the journalists to produce more investigative reports to dig out the hidden truths.
