Detective Vic, played by Dave Bautista, means business as he’s tracking down one nasty terrorist. How is this funny? Well, as life goes, things don’t simply work out as you want them to, and the stern detective clashing with an Uber driver named Stu, played by Kumail Nanjiani, who is not cut out for violence, creates some comedic moments. I have to add that the script is written in a certain way to bring the viewers to laughter. Being in one of the scenes, it was difficult for me to keep a straight face on set. I cannot repeat what I have heard here so you just have to trust me and watch the film when it hits the theatres near you this summer.
As for working on the set with Dave Bautista, he is such a cool guy, professional and easy going. At one point he sat down next to where I was standing so I took the chance to tell him,”You should stand next to me. I’ll make you look even much bigger.” He started chuckling because in this scene we were surrounded by a number of big, muscular male strippers and I was the smallest guy in the group. They might be taller than Dave, but next to me, Dave looked like a giant.
