Hi, Rubina! How good is it to be back on TV?
It feels alive! I have realised that this is what I love to do, and that’s why it’s really great to work again!
Your love for bed and water is evident from the pictures. How was the shoot?
Well, it was really good! Abhinav and I were out for our anniversary celebration. He has a great passion for photography, and I am happy that he finds his muse in me. The pictures actually suggest that we were both busy doing what we love, and it got us amazing results.
You are playing a transgender in your new show. Is it tough portraying the role?
Yes, it’s really tough! To portray a not-so-common character is a challenging task! The role was turned down by many of my contemporaries.
How did you prepare for it?
I had to give so many screen tests and sit in multiple number of meetings for the character. And every time I did it, the scene demanded something new. In the process, I tried to explore the character and give it a new life.
