A new year usually brings with it resolutions to start anew or to find ways to motivate ourselves and be inspired to reach new personal goals. This month’s article is all about someone who is sure to inspire and without a doubt set the standard for other women to achieve success. Alisha Poland is a woman who is not only brilliant, she is also beautiful inside and out. Her commitment and example of giving back to the community is quite an achievement. Alisha is also the proud Mom of a thirteen year old straight A student who is following in her mother’s footsteps by raising money for many charitable organizations. Her daughter is also a member of the National Honor Society. If you are looking for a definition for empowerment of women, look no further than Alisha Poland. Her resume in business is quite impressive and she is also involved in the production of documentaries. She loves her work. Wait, there is more. Alisha is also a fashion model with a growing portfolio and she can be found walking the runways of DC and New York. I have met this woman and it’s with great pleasure I get to feature her here in the Platform Magazine.
