End Verse.

A tribute to poet lyricist Na. Muthukumar

OF ALL THE ARTISTES THE POET IS THE ONE WHO HAS THE MOST INTIMATE CONNECTION WITH THE LISTENER and yet ironically, he remains almost completely hidden. His face is never foremost among the listeners. The singers, music director or the actors are the ones that come to the mind. But if not for the simple man who put together those tenses of poetry and set forth the rhyme, we wouldn’t have gotten much to behold.

NA. MUTHUKUMAR HAD PASSION AND VIVID IMAGINATION THAT IS KNOWN. But when they combined with his incredible versatility and speed he became someone so far and above his peers, that in reality there wasn’t anyone to match his verse. He could live inside the seething fury of vengeance one minute, cry rivers alongside two broken hearts in the next and run around the sunny sands in the spirit of young, upstart children for the hour that followed. Then woo a girl with just a few simple catchy words, a dream-girl no less. Feel the pain and vulnerability of a father nurturing his daughter. Then turn around and have crowds dancing at his feet spewing out loaded life-lessons. And he could do all this and more in a span of a few hours, the words just never stopped flowing.

PHILOSOPHY. GRIEF. ANGER. MERRIMENT. MOROSENESS. HOPE. LOVE. LIFE. FREEDOM. DEATH. THEY ALL MET THEIR MATCH AND FOUND THEIR EXPRESSION WITHIN HIM. HE COULD BE ANYONE, ANY EMOTION, ANY MOMENT. THAT WAS HIS SECRET. HE DID JUST THAT DAY IN DAY OUT, FOR WEL
