Photo Face-Off
It was during college as a journalism major when Justin Mott discovered his interest in photography. He has been telling stories—visually—since. Aside from competing with one amateur photographer after another on his History Channel show, Photo Face-Off, Mott still goes around the world on assignment.
Mott was one of the guest stars at History Con 2017 Manila last August in Pasay. During his one-on-one interview with Speed, Mott talked about his show, his passion project, and how he takes the perfect shot.
Have you taken your show, Photo FaceOff, around Asia?
Every year, we focus on some core countries. But we have some guests, wildcards. This year we filmed in Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia. And then we did the finale in Thailand. We also had wildcard contestants from Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. So, it’s really a Southeast Asia show.

What started out as a fan-made alternative to Harvest Moon (Back to Nature is definitely one of my ultimate favorite games of all time), the game eventually received financial support and a cult following, paving the way for its release in 2016.
