Kshetrambuja Mala
Sruti|February 2017

Ambujam Krishna was a prolific composer and lyricist. Her compositions are devotion intensive, and have stood the test of time. Add to it a visual interpretation and it makes it a more meaningful experience— etched in the mind long after the presentation is over.

Kshetrambuja Mala

It was an evening at the Music Academy when music, dance, visuals and commentary were woven together into a delightful tapestry of varied hues and moods. The inspiring temples, where legends and history were enacted, were beautifully delineated by historian Dr. Chithra Madhavan who, in her gentle style of narration, gave the proceedings a riveting quality.

Tying up speech, dance, music and colourful costumes into a dance-drama is usually passé, but not when the quality of dance and the contents is interestingly brought to the stage. It then becomes something to remember and applaud.
