The Solid Treatment
Log Home Living|February 2017

Pairing new innovation with a timeless style, Better Than Logs brings concrete siding to the masses.

The Solid Treatment

Pleasantly located 10 miles outside the charming town of Oswego, Kansas, is the “Leaning Oak” homestead. Enormous oak trees invite visitors to this log home that is plotted on 100 acres with sprawling forests, grasslands and the Neosho River which borders the property’s eastern boundary. Equipped with an elegant entry and several oak trees, your approach will spike your curiosity about this unique home. In the back an expansive lush lawn give way to a 22 foot deep man-made pond, perfect for cooling off on a hot and humid Kansas summer day. The welcoming oak trees lead you down a gravel driveway and onto a stamped concrete entry with a two car garage. The entrance’s walkway directs you to the raised concrete deck where the front door stands. This deck soon transitions to beautiful stained wood and wraps around most of the home matching the wooden nature of the home.
