ULTIMATE HOT COCOA

Leave Swiss Miss to the kids. This homemade classic satisfies more sophisticated palettes. Makes 6 servings

1 cup dry milk powder

½ cup powdered sugar

1/3cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp. cornstarch

1 tsp. ancho chile powder

¼ tsp. salt

¼ tsp. ground cinnamon

AT HOME Sift all ingredients together. Store in a zip-top bag. (This recipe makes a great base for add-ins like peanut butter, spices, or schnapps.)

IN CAMP Stir 5 Tbsp. of hot cocoa mix into 3 / 4 cup of boiling water and serve.
