Matters Marital

I look at marriage as not something that is the end - nor should it be the last resort for a woman. It shouldn’t be that you’ve achieved enough and now it’s time to settle so you want to get married. There is no ‘right time’ to get married. The so-called right time or age does not define your happiness or your success in your married life or in your relationship. It doesn’t matter how old you are. I look at life as a journey and marriage is one of the most beautiful destinations where life takes you.

Changing Reality

If you look at the women of today, it’s phenomenal to see them balancing married life, their family and work along with it. I want to be like them when I get married. Society has definitely changed from what it was when our parents got married. Today there is no compulsion for any boy or any girl to get married. Marriage is a bond that brings two people together for life. You can’t jump into a marriage just because it’s compulsory. Earlier people thought you needed to get married to have kids or that a couple couldn’t stay together if they weren’t married. Long gone are the days when people thought of these as taboos. We are way beyond that. Things have changed. You don’t have to leave anything after you get married. There has to be a balance between your personal life and professional life. You are leading a successful life when you can strike a balance between your two lives and you don’t have to compromise on any one of them.
