Back in 2009, when she’d made her debut with a brief role in the film Teen Patti, she made headlines for her famous last name. However, as the years have passed, she has established heself as a dependable name to reckon with. In a no-holds-barred conversation with BAZAAR BRIDE, the chirpy actor reveals how she is a foodie at heart, how she still prefers thrift shopping to luxurious brands, and how there is no one definition of the ideal man for her...

DID YOU ALWAYS WANT TO BE A PART OF THE HINDI FILM INDUSTRY?

Well, I think being born and brought up in a film family—being in that whole environment, to see my dad coming back home from a shoot, and the fact that my aunt was also a part of the film industry—seemed like the most natural thing to be a part of.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE OF SHOOTING FOR YOUR FIRST FILM. WAS IT INTIMIDATING?

 When I look back, I feel I was so clueless and lost while shooting for my first film. So much so that I actually had multiple breakdowns during the shoot and I thank god that I had my parents helping me out in the industry. Although it was hard, it was exciting as well.
