Versatile textures and natural light combine with soft tones, lending warmth to the interiors of this home designed by Kohelika Kohli of K2India
Typical city life today is extremely hectic and chaotic. So chances of enjoying nature and its elements are a rare luxury, which only a chosen few can indulge in. When interior designer and architect Kohelika Kohli of K2 India took on this residence in New Delhi, her endeavour was to create a space that allowed its owners to appreciate a few important things: An abode that genuinely feels like home, that integrates the surrounding natural environs in a way, so it could be enjoyed on a daily basis. What worked in her favour was that the home owners were on the same page as her. They too desired an accommodation that appeared simple and understated yet sophisticated. “Though the family loves to entertain and are fabulous hosts, their approach was very clear – they wanted a house they could relish themselves and also make it a pleasant experience for their friends and extended family,” adds Kohelika.
