Nanomedicine is an emerging field of nanotechnology, in which medical applications of nanotechnology are described. It includes the medical applications of nanomaterials, nanoelectronic sensors and biological machines for the therapeutic benefits for human beings. The nanomaterials are the materials of a size below 100 nm, and prepared by the numerous techniques (nanotechnology). Biological, chemical and medical scientists jointly exploited the unique properties of these nanomaterials or nanoparticles for various medical applications (i.e., delivering drugs to target cells and contrast agents for cell imaging ultrasound).
