My Tips For Flying With The Family
Family Traveller|July - August 2016

The thought of taking children on a flight (especially long haul) can be terrifying. Obviously, you can’t prepare for every possibility, but I’ve come up with a few tips to make it that little bit easier

My Tips For Flying With The Family

FLYING WITH BABIES

IS IT OK TO FLY?

It’s usually best to wait until your baby is at least a few days old before flying, but some airlines prefer infants to be over two weeks old. There may be logistical reasons for you to wait until they are a little older, or take shorter flights. For example, if you are a new parent and just getting used to things.

FEEDING ON BOARD…

Make sure you have enough food for the journey. Most airlines allow you to carry baby milk or food, provided it is in the correct containers and meets their foodstuff regulations. Likewise, you should be able to carry on expressed milk. However, make sure it’s a sensible amount, i.e. just enough for the journey.
