Make the no into a yes with your journey” is her life mantra. From being a risk-taker to fighting adversities, Kanika Tekriwal’s story is that of struggle and triumph. She showed the world that nothing is impossible if you are ready to chase your dream and turn it into a reality. Breaking all the odds and stereotypes revolving around women, Kanika set out on her journey of making it big in aviation. She referred to her company JetSetGo as “the Uber of the skies”.
Hailing from a small town in Bhopal, Kanika was always keen on doing something in the aviation industry. Her desires got fuelled when she worked in the field of aviation at a very young age of 17 (in 2007). It helped her gain an insight into the industry and gave enough exposure to understand all its nuances. Furthermore, with her completion of MBA in the U.K., she had her entrepreneurial skills enhanced. Her idea of setting up a successful aviation company came up when conversing with one of her colleagues in the U.K. Although she was aware of the fact that aviation was more of a male-dominant industry and being an employer in this field would be a tough job, she still stuck to her passion. At first, Kanika’s parents were much against her career dream, yet, there was no stopping her. And when success knocked on her door, she won her parent’s heart and received all their support.
