Why the Wise Choose a Vegatarian Diet!
Rishimukh|March 2017

Raw fruits and vegetables are the most suitable food for human beings available in nature. They are sattvic and have more prana in them. Generally a vegetarian diet is sattvic, while all non-vegetarian foods are either rajasic or tamasic in nature.

Why the Wise Choose a Vegatarian Diet!

Fruits, vegetables, grains and cereals are storehouses of solar energy, whereas meat only has a low content of sunlight (because of the ability of the plants to photosynthesize).

The concept that non-vegetarian foods are more nutritious, is a myth. In reality, a balanced vegetarian diet is high in food value, since it contains all the main principles of food viz. proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, as well as sufficient calories.

Legumes and beans provide sufficient protein. Vegetable protein is easier to digest than the protein of animal origin. It is a wrong notion that without meat, the diet is protein deficient.

The general belief that essential amino acids are only present in meat is not correct. The large amount of proteins in animal flesh can result in kidney disease and high blood urea.
