David Marks has been a studio furniture maker in Santa Rosa, CA for nearly 40 years and was the host of the popular woodworking television program WoodWorks on the DIY network.

I have previously mentioned “The Tree” (July, 2015). It was an incredible Mahogany tree, sawn 34 years ago, with the most outstanding quilted grain pattern. Only a handful of our local woodworkers shared the resulting lumber, stashing it away in their own private reserves.
